DWTS Week 9- Quarter Finals: New Dance Challenge and team routine from a Broadway, Las Vegas or Touring Show

all couples

Alek and Lindsay danced a Salsa to “Back It Up” by Prince Royce Featuring J-Lo and Pitbull and it was not impressive. I’m amazed that Lindsay doesn’t know the difference between Samba and Salsa. Alek stood still through all the transitions. Lindsay danced around him again. They scored 8,8,8 totalling 24. Are you kidding me? What the hell were the judges watching?

Alek and Lindsay

Alexa and Mark danced a Contemporary Routine to “Make It Rain ” by Ed Sheeran and it was very intense! You can see the struggle she suffered through Bulimia. It was a powerful message through dance that empowered so many. Loved it.  They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.

Alexa and Mark

Carlos and Witney danced an Argentine Tango to “What Do You Mean?” By Justin Beiber and it was very different. It felt like a Lyrical Hip Hop Argentine Tango and that was amazing but it was not a traditional Argentine Tango. It needed passion, heat and more connection.  They scored 9,9,9 totalling 27.

Carlos and Witney

Bindi and Derek danced a Viennese Waltz to “Roses and Violets” by  Alexander Jean and it was very beautiful!! Amazing choreography!!! There was a maturity and elegance about the movement. And no it was not a traditional Viennese Waltz Julianne, it was a modern Viennese Waltz…why are you judging?  I loved the dance!  They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.

Bindi and Derek

Tamar and Val were to dance a Contemporary Routine to “Wicked Game” by James Vincent McMorrow. Tamar was sent to the hospital for Pneumonia and didn’t make it back for the live show. The rules state that they can watch a tape of the dress rehearsal and the judges can score that. It was pretty good considering the situation.  They scored 8,7,7 totalling 22.

Tamar and Val

Nick and Sharna danced a Quickstep to “A Cool Cat In Town ” by Tape 5 featuring Brenda Boykin and it was absolutely amazing!!! I absolutely loved it!!! Wow!!! Great choreography!  Totally in character!!! They scored 9,9,10 totalling 28.

The team Alek and Lindsay with Carlos and Whitney danced a Paso Doble from the Broadway Show called “We Will Rock You” to the song “We Will Rock You” by Queen and it was very good. I liked the concept. Both guys need to work on the shaping of the dance and hips being forward. They scored 8,8,8 totalling 24.

DANCING WITH THE STARS - "Episode 2109" - This week the six remaining "Dancing with the Stars" couples performed two show-stopping dances on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). It was very good.  I loved the feel of the dance. They were completely in character. Great dance!  They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.

Team Nick and Sharna with Tamar and Val danced a Rumba from the Las Vegas Show “The Beatles Love Show ” from Cirque Du Sole to “Hey Jude” by the Beatles and it was ok. The concept was not close to the meaning of the song. Their dancing was very good!!!  They scored 9,9,9 totalling 27.
