Season 20 Professional Dancers
Valentin Chmerkovskiy: In addition to being a two-time World Dance Champion, this multitalented guy plays the violin, designs clothes and raps. Last season, he was paired up with “Pretty Little Liars” star Janel Parrish.
Mark Ballas: The beloved pro joined the show in season 5 and took home the mirrorball trophy with partners Kristi Yamaguchi, and again with Shawn Johnson. Most recently, he danced with “Duck Dynasty” reality star Sadie Robertson.
Kym Johnson: The two-time mirrorball champion returns to “DWTS.” The fan favorite left the show after 14 seasons in 2013, winning two mirrorball trophies with partners Donny Osmond and Hines Ward. After getting her start on the Australian version of the show, she’s the only professional dancer in the world to hold trophies on two different continents. Johnson began dance at the age of three, training in all aspects of the performing arts including singing, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and acrobatics.
Tony Dovolani: The professional ballroom dancer began on season 2 of the show and took home the mirrorball trophy with Melissa Rycroft in “All-Star” season.
Whitney Carson: The reigning pro champ won season 19 with her celebrity partner Alfonso Ribeiro and will take to the dance floor again this season.
Peta Murgatroyd: The pro, born in Auckland, New Zealand and raised in Perth, Western Australia, won the mirrorbar trophy with Donald Driver in season 14, and made it to the finals with comedian Tommy Chong in season 19.
Artem Chigvintsev: The professional dancer, 32, from Russia, makes his “DWTS” debut on season 19 dancing with actress Lea Thompson. He’s an award winning dancer and the proud owner of a Harley Davidson and two cats.
Allison Holker: The American professional dancer, 26, returns for her second season on “DWTS.” Last season she paired up with “Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett. She has also danced in “High School Musical” and the movie “Footloose.”
Sharna Burgess: Burgess is back for season 20! The pro most recently made it to the season 18 semifinals with her celebrity partner, Olympic ice dancer Charlie White.
Emma Slater: The pro dancer got her start as part of the show’s troupe and paired up with NASCAR great Michael Waltrip in season 19 and legendary leading man, Billy Dee Williams, in season 17. Plus, she’s choreographed for Usher, she danced in a George Michael music video and she appeared in the film “Mamma Mia.”
