DWTS Week 2

DWTS Week 2: Stars choose favorite songs:

Randy and Karina danced a Cha Cha to the song “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” and it was okay but when he wasn’t doing the Cha Cha he had hip action, if he could just put it in the actual dance it would have been fantastic. His feet needed more pressure for the steps to come across properly. They scored 7,7,7,7 leaving them with a total of 28.

Janel and Val danced a Foxtrot to the song “Call Me Maybe” and it was very good!  I would of liked to have seen more of the dance in hold. Top line was nice at times but need to keep her left arm in place. Her footwork need to be a little better. They scored 9,8,8,9 leaving them with a total of 34.

Lea and Artem danced a Jive to “Bonny Marony” and it was good, she just needed to keep her upper thighs tighter and she lost a little bit of energy towards the end. But still very well done, very enjoyable to watch! They scored a 9,8,9,9 leaving them with the highest score of the night, 35!! Great Job!

!

Michael and Emma danced a Samba to “Girls in Bikini” and it was hard to describe but it was definitely entertaining. There was no Samba, no bounce and no syncopated movement. There was however a lot hip rolls!  They scored 6,6,6,6, leaving them with a pitty score of 24.

Tavis and Sharna danced a Cha Cha to “Boogie Wonderland” and it was okay but there was no Cha Cha. He looked a little bit awkward in the movement and you could see he was very focused on his steps throughout the dance. They scored 7,7,7,7, totalling 28.

Alfonso and Whitney danced a Samba to “Get Jiggy With It” and was quite entertaining to watch. I would of liked to see some hip rolls and botofogos in the routine but he danced it with swag. It needed some more bounce!! And I have to ask, why is he in runners? They scored 8,8,8,8, leaving them with a  32.

Bethany and Derek danced a Foxtrot to “All about the Bass” and it was very good but I would of like to see more in frame, her top line was beautiful except once in while there was a broken wrist. Great rhythm and expression!! Well done!  They scored 8,9,8,8, totalling a 33.

Betsy and Tony danced a Foxtrot to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and it was pretty darn good considering her age and wow she can stretch!  She looked so beautiful like right out of breakfast at Tiffanys’. Great routine for her! Way to go Tony! They scored a 7,7,7,7, totalling a 28.

Antonio and Cheryl danced a Rumba to “Adorn” by Miguel and it was pretty. I would like to see more hip action. But he was really connected to his partner and the music . They scored 8,7,8,8 totalling 31.

Tommy and Peta danced a Salsa to “Higher” and their dance was not bad. He definitely had some Salsa in him. He actually danced it quiet well and was fluent with his movements.  Along with his technique he managed to keep time. They scored 7,7,7,7 totalling 28.

Jonathan and Allison danced a Cha Cha to “Sing” Ed Sheeran and it was okay except for the fact that it was all about her and not about him. He just stood there and lunged to one side and then the other, and where was the Cha Cha? A whole lot of fluff or flim flam as Len puts it. They scored 7,7,8,8 totalling 30.

Sadie and Mark danced a Jazz routine to a country song called “She’s Country” and it was different she definitely had the booty hits and she performed it really well. I liked it!  Well done!! They scored 8,7,8,8 totalling 31.
