Dancing with the Stars Week 10- The Finals

The Redemption Dance:  New Song & New Choreography

Ginger and Val danced a Contemporary routine to “Adventure of a Lifetime”  by Coldplay and it was very good. They have improved from their last Contemporary routine. She still had trouble emoting in this dance genre. It displayed their adventure of her dancing through her routine. Well done.  They scored 9,10,9 totalling 28.

Nyle and Peta danced a Quickstep to “S.O.B.” by Nathaniel Rateliff & Tge Night Sweats and it was very good. He improved on his top line however it still had some jiggly parts. At one point it became hectic and the routine was disjointed. Overall it was well done. They scored 9,9,9 totalling 27.

Paige and Mark danced a “Salsa” to Fireball by Pitbull and it was very good as well. The routine was action pack however it didn’t display Salsa the way it should. It had a lot of arm movements but they didn’t rotate the salsa while in the movement. It wasn’t as grounded as it should have been. I think there was a little too much in the routine and there wasn’t any room for a true Salsa. They scored 10,9,10 totalling 29.

The Freestyle Dance:

Ginger and Val danced their Freestyle as a Foxtrot to “Orange Coloured Sky” by Nat King Cole and it was awesome to watch. I remember the movie well with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.  She lost a little bit at the end but she was in character the whole time. She was at home in this dance so much more than the others. They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.

Nyle and Peta danced their Freestyle as a Contemporary routine to “Sound Of Silence” by Disturbed and it was phenomenal. The Choreographer, Talia Favia is amazing! They portrayed the routine absolutely beautifully. I loved it. They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.

Paige and Mark danced their Freestyle to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Judy Garland and it was absolutely beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. The choreography was amazing…well done Mark. He didn’t take it from a movie nor did he bring in another professional. I loved how she was able to emote the dance and bring me into the story. Loved it. They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.
