Nyle and Peta danced a Paso Doble to “Victorious” by Panic at the Disco and it was very good but he had difficulties dancing their telemark. He had lost his shaping here and there and he also had his bum out. He is a remarkable dancer considering he has to keep time without hearing the music. They scored 10,9,10. I have no idea what those judges were watching- most definitely not the technique!
Antonio and Sharna danced a Viennese Waltz to “Love on the Brain” by Rihanna and it was very beautiful. He had good footwork but he had postural problems from his neck, shoulders and head. He was in character the whole time. They scored 9,9,9 totalling 27.
Jodie and Keo danced a Jive to “Somethings got a Hold on Me” by Christina Aguilera and it was very good. She had a delay in removing her outer garment and had a little mistake in the beginning but she had the rest of it in the bag. Good dancing. They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.
Paige and Mark danced a Viennese Waltz to “Stone Cold” by Demi Lovato and it was absolutely amazing!!! I loved the choreography, I felt like I was right in it. It was not the traditional Viennese Waltz, it was more modern and amazing. Her head was a little too far left, but the dance still looked great! They scored 10,9,9 totalling 28.
Ginger and Val danced an Argentine Tango to “Telephone” by Lady Gaga and it was very good. This dance was hard to critique because most of the dance was in dim light and you couldn’t see her legs. From what I could see it was well done. They scored 10,10,10 totalling 30.
Wanya and Lindsay danced a Western infused Jive to “Can You do this” by Aloe Black and it was good. He attacked it hard but there was costume mishap that he lost his footing. He has natural movement but he infused his energy to make him go faster than he needed to. They scored 8,8,9 totalling 25.
Judges Team Challenge
Bruno advised Nyle and Peta and Jodie and Keo on an Argentine Tango and it was very good however there wasn’t the same connection between partner switches. They scored 10,10,9 totalling 29.
Len advised Ginger and Val and Wanya and Lindsay on a Samba to “Jump in the Line” by Harry Belafonte and it was amazingly humorous. It was not a traditional Samba, but it was danced well. I loved the routine. They scored 10,10,9 totalling 29.
Carrie Ann advised Paige and Mark and Antonio and Sharna on a Paso Doble to “Everybody wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears and it was absolutely amazing! Great choreography! I loved it and everyone had chemistry and connection with each other. Loved it!!! They scored 10,10,9 totalling 29.
Going home tonight is…
