Dancing with the Stars Week 6 – Famous Dance Scenes Night
Kim and Sasha danced a Jive from the big screen play Hairspray, You Can Stop The Beat by Nikki Blonsky and Zack Efron and it was very good! Because of her injury she didn’t have the retraction she needed in the kicks. She needed to also clean up her technique but overall well done. They scored 8,8,8 totalling 24.
Von and Witney danced to a Michael Jackson number Bad as a Jazz routine and it was very good. He needed more work on some isolation movements and sharpness of his reaches. They scored 8,8,8 totalling 24.
Jodie and Keo danced to the video of Try by Pink as a Contemporary Routine and it was very good! She portrayed her part well, just the transition between some of the parts were stationary and they struggled to get into the lift. They scored 9,8,8 totalling 25.
Paige and Mark danced a Jazz Routine from the movie Austin Powers Soul Bassanova by Quincy Jones and it was absolutely amazing! Great interpretation of that dance. She was in character and she had passion, fun and athleticism! Really loved it!! They scored 9,10,9 totalling 28.
Nyle and Peta danced a Quickstep from the movie The Mask Hey Pachuco by Royal Crown Review and it was very good! This number was fast and he lost some rhythm. His frame had some many moving parts and it should have been firmer. This number was done by Julianne Hough and Helio Castinovas? And that routine got 3 10’s …never do a number that’s been done before. They scored 8,8,9 totalling 25.
Ginger and Val danced a Jazz Routine by a Janet Jackson video Nasty and it was very good but she did a lot of walking around. I found it lacking in attitude and the routine was lacking in sharpness. They scored 8,8,8 totalling 24.
Doug and Karina danced a Bollywood number from the movie Slum Dog Millionaire Jai Ho by A.R. Rahman and The Pussycat Dolls and it was good. He needed to work on sharpness oh his arm and hand movements. He kept up with energy of the dance. They scored 7,7,7 totalling 21.
Wanya and Lindsay danced a Jazz Routine inspired by NSYNC Bye Bye Bye legendary performance at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards and it was absolutely awesome!!! I love it! And I love his charisma on the dance floor. He makes you want to get up and dance! Just awesome!!! They scored 10,9,10 totalling 29.
Antonio and Sharna danced a Jive from the movie Footless by Kenny Loggins and it was very well danced. He came back from last week and brought the house down with his energy! He made a couple of mistakes here and there but overall very good! They scored 9,9,9 totalling 27.
