DWTS Week 9

DWTS Week #9: America chooses the song, the dance and the so much more….. Safe to dance in the Semifinals is: Tommy and Peta…wow that caught everyone by surprise….including themselves! America chose a Foxtrot for Alfonso and Witney to dance to, “Ain’t That A Kick In The Head” by Robby Williams.  America also got to choose the attire. They’re dance was very good but he needed some more heel leads though. I liked the choreography. They scored 9,9,9,10 totalling 37. America chose a Viennese Waltz for Tommy and Peta to dance to, “Trouble by Ray Lamontagne”. They’re dance was not bad. He had pretty descent Viennese crosses but he messed up at the end…sad :(. They scored 7,8,7,7 totalling 29. America chose a Samba for Lea and Artem to dance to, “Animals” by Maroon 5. They’re dance was okay, there was a lot of shaking but no bounce and she danced bow legged through a lot of the moves. She needed to bend and straighten her legs more. They scored 8,9,8,9 totalling 34. America chose a Viennese Waltz for Bethany and Derek to dance to, “Say You Love Me” by Jessie Ware. Their dance was very pretty and they were so caught up in the story that there was not enough content in the dance. They held the last move for a whole 2 bars. However they emoted very well. They scored 9,9,9,9 totalling 36. America chose a Jive for Sadie and Mark to dance to, “123 Turn Around” by Christian T.V. Their dance was good. The rhythm was super fast and therefore the kicks and flicks were not as sharp. The choreography was very difficult but very good effort. They scored 8,9,8,8 totalling 33. America chose a Quickstep for a Janel and Val to dance to, “Hey, Boy! Hey, Girl!” by Louis Prima and Keely Smith. Their dance was very, very good. They had a tiny mishap but best dance ever. They scored 9,10,10,9 leaving them with the highest score of the night, 38! Great Job!!! The Trio dance is coming up… Alfonso and Witney are joined by Lindsay Arnold a troop member to dance a Paso Doble to “Turn Down For What” by DJ Snake and Little Jon and their dance was spectacular. I loved it lots!  Awesome! They scored 10,10,10,10 totalling 40. Tommy and Peta are joined by Sharna Burgess to dance a Samba to “Talk Dirty To Me” by Jason Derulo and their dance was okay. He definitely enjoyed himself. The Samba was not present however quite entertaining. They scored 7,7,7,7 totalling 28. Lea and Artem are joined by Henry to dance a Paso Doble to “Black Betty” by Ram Jam and their dance was okay but there was no shaping that the dance did require. They scored 9,9,9,9 totalling 36. Bethany and Derek are joined by Tony Devalani to dance an Argentine Tango to “Jungle” by Jamie N Commons and The X Ambassadors and their dance was very very good quite sticato but not the feel of Argentine Tango . The passion was missing. It was just aggressive needed some sifter moments, they scored 9,10,10,9 totalling 38. to dance a Foxtrot to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You”  by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and their dance was spectacular I Love It!!! Fantastic choreography. They scored 10,10,10,10 totalling 40. Janel and Val are joined by Keo to dance a Salsa to “Morning Drums” by Gregor Salto and their dance was good it had a lot of tricks but not a lot of salsa content. They scored 10,9,10,10 totalling 39. Safe to dance in the semifinals is Alfonso and Witney, also safe is Bethany and Derek, also safe is Janel and Val.
