Meet the Cast of Season 18!

With a star studded cast, a new host, and an exhilarating new twist, Dancing with the Stars returns for its 18th season. There is no question as to why DWTS has been receiving so much media attention lately. After the shocking goodbye of the orchestra that was present for the past 17 seasons, and host, Brook Burke who has been hosting for the past 7 seasons, this season is sure to be fresh and new. This is what executives are hoping for as it has been stated that new host, Erin Andrews, was brought in to gain more of a younger male audience. With the accompaniment of a new band as well, the show will be sure to revamp their image and appeal to a younger and more upbeat demographic overall.
Even the cast is known more than it usually is. This year’s stars include Ice Dance champions Charlie White and Meryl Davis, Australian pop singer Cody Simpson, former NHL tough guy Sean Avery, actress Candace Cameron Bure, and double amputee Amy Purdy. There’s someone for the whole family to watch!
This season’s new twist is sure to shake things up a little. At the half way point in the competition fans will have the option to vote for a stars to switch partners. With this new direction in the competition it will be nice to see a familiar face enter the ballroom. Professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy is returning to the ballroom to dance with ice dancer Meryl Davis.
